PAWS FOR A CAUSE - Save the Stray Dogs of Romania

ROMANIA, a place where tourism focuses on the country's natural landscapes and its rich history - this tourism is one of the most dynamic and fastest developing sectors of the economy of ROMANIA - characterized by a huge potential for development....

BUT MUCH FOCUS SHOULD BE ON WHAT IS TRULY HAPPENING - PERHAPS SOMETHING THAT MIGHT MAKE TOURISTS CHANGE THEIR MINDS ABOUT VISITING THERE....

I am talking about the ROMANIAN STRAY DOG CULL - a massacre that Romanian Courts subsequently passed which permits the mass culling of thousands of innocent lives, a strategy that they find more effective then adopting more humane spay-neuter programs; such programs that have been ignored..

"Sterilization is no longer a solution because it does not remove dog's fangs" a statement that was reportedly said by TRAIAN BASESCU, President of Romania.

Does this statement give them the right to claim the lives of dogs, where it is the irresponsibility of humans that abandoned these babies to the streets, and left them for this fate -- It is this LAW that gives city officials the right to euthanize any stray dog that they spot on the streets who were not adopted within 14 days - and according to sources - ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!

It is also reported that many are unwilling to wait that long, and instead, are taking matters into their own hands -- killing these living beings in the streets, using ways that are inhumane and beyond the point of cruel.

WE THE WORLD need to reach out and SAVE these innocent lives, to reach out to MEDIA and GOVERNMENT officials to do something in order to STOP this massacre from continuing - to unite as one voice and demand humane methods take place - more adoptions, more compassion towards these animals that the WORLD abandoned and forgot - it is our responsibility as guardians of life to do be the VOICE for the VOICELESS and STOP THE CULL OF STRAY DOGS.

JOIN IN THE GOOD FIGHT and RAISE UR PAW WORLDWIDE - our voices need to be heard.

Thank You
RAISE UR PAW
