REMEMBER ME THIS WINTER - Pet Poem

Think of me this winter
Before you leave your pets outside
If only my owners would have thought of me
Perhaps I would not have died.

We feel the cold as you humans do
Shiver in the harsh frigid air
Frost bite can strike us, just as quickly you know
A lesson that whole world should share.

Think of me this winter
When you see a life in need
When the weather is cold, and the risks are high
Please do your part to do a good deed.

When it comes time for winter
Remember the choice my owner’s made
Bring in your pets and keep them warm
Don’t let them pay the price I paid.
