WE ARE ONE: Never Turn Away

When it comes to suffering we are all as one
Whether different gender, species or race
Some cry out with no speaking of words.
But the pain is expressed upon their face.

With each silent tear that is shed from their eyes
Within their hearts holds the cruelty they live
And yet with this truth many choose to ignore
instead of compassion that we should give.

Who are we to look away
and close our eyes to what is being revealed
for if we don't form the circle of compassion
then it is their fate that is surely sealed.

If not today then when is the time
to make that stand and show we unite
for their welfare and life reside in our hands
and it is up to us to make that stand and fight.
